Given the historical experience within the steelwork and cladding sector it was natural for Skyglaze to develop a service package to industry in terms of concept rainscreen systems. The company has been at the forefront of this market sector for the past seven years.

Particular expertise is demonstrated in design solution and detailing; project and contractual management and installation execution. The successful completion of the Parkwest and Joels Hotels in Dublin can be attributed to this high level of expertise and commitment.

The external façade on both these projects is applied to off site constructed pod units by Caledonian Building Systems in the UK. Both projects presented various challenges in terms of design appreciation, water tightness and fire protection.

A versatile façade appearance may be achieved with the use of product types such as, reconstituted stone, terracotta tile, high pressure laminates, high and low density fibre cements and aluminium cassette trays.
